In the IPL Auction 2014, Rajasthan Royals bought Deepak Hooda at a base price of 40 lakh INR. He made his hurricane debut against Kings XI Punjab, scored 30 runs in 15 balls, and hit a half-century in the same season against Delhi Capitals.
